- you bring a copy of your clear record. get a print out at DMV. Know your record. MD judges have a terminal on their desk and will pull up your record while you stand there, so be honest. - be humble and respectful. I actually told the judge I "was sorry for the excessive speed". Owning up usually works wonders if you are a responible driver. - avoid getting your speedo calibrated, in my experience it only makes them toughter on you as do other excuses. There is no excuse for escessive speed is their attitude and you are best served sticking to it unless you were giving birth ( ;-) ) . - make sure you dress for the occasion, meaning repectful. I've seen people show up in torn sweats and ratty t-shirt..not good. Don't go overboard but let them see that you are a professional and respect the court system. -Make sure you show for the court date. You can ask for a delay several times (not sure in MD think it is2). What that does is reduce the chance that your officer will be there. No officer = no case.
Be thankful that you are not in VA, anything over 80 is reckless driving and a minimum of one month suspension...
You said you are fighting it...do you have any grounds for fighting it? If so you may want to run that by a lawyer first, maybe your company has a legal plan that you can call in to. If not, it rarely seems to work, humility is often the best defence for a first time offender.
